The Voldemortini

Alright, y’all. Day 5. It’s Harry Potter’s birthday! It’s also hump day. Two great reasons to enjoy a nice cocktail!

Enter the Voldemortini (*hysterical laughter*)! In truth, it’s nothing super groundbreaking…just a dry, dirty gin martini. But in my opinion, there’s pure magic in that concoction.

The martini honestly seems like a good cocktail metaphor for He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. They’re dangerous, a little intimidating, edgy, and they pack a wallop. The olive brine gives the drink an ominous green hue, sort of reminiscent of the Dark Mark. And the skewer of fat green olives as a garnish is just, I don’t know…sinister. Don’t you agree?!

1/2 oz. olive brine
3 green olives skewered on a toothpick, for garnish
