Bring On Fall!

Welcome back! We got a little face lift over here, as you can probably tell with the new name and look. The tragic loss of my computer (and all files, memories, programs, drafts, etc.) turned out to be a good excuse to adopt an “out with the old, in with the new” attitude. It took a little while to get everything in order, but I’m finally starting to feel back on track. Hope you like it!

This summer has been one for the books, and it’s definitely not over yet, but pretty much since the beginning of August I’ve got all things fall on the mind. It’s probably the season I most look forward to with the fun holidays/decorations, seasonal flavors, and especially the great clothes! I guess I can’t really do “back to school” shopping anymore, but I still like taking the opportunity to freshen up my closet a bit for the season. Again, out with the old, in with the new.

I purged almost 50% of my existing closet, getting rid of things that aren’t age-appropriate (bye, bandage skirts), didn’t fit (duh), and things I hadn’t had the urge to wear in over a year. I’m trying to find a way to get some money for these items since most of them are in great shape, but in the mean time I’ve been scouring Nordstrom for items to fill the space with! Above are just some of the pieces sitting in my online shopping carts. 😉

Obviously with fall around the corner I’m loving earth tones – lots of browns and taupes and olives. I’ve also been drawn to white and chambray pieces. The Anniversary Sale just ended, but I managed to snag the brown leather coat, purse, an olive colored dress (not pictured), and the chambray shirt while it was still going on. Next victims are the shoes and those adorable green leggings! Heart eyes all over.

This BP purse, which I got in the cognac color, is just perfect. The straps are a great length, as in they don’t fall off my shoulders when I carry it around like so many other totes do. It fits a ton, like my planner, laptop, wallet, sunglasses, keys, and more. It’s a great weekend shopping tote, even big enough to stick farmer’s market flowers in without crushing them! And lastly, it looks beautiful next to my beloved iced coffee. Score.
