Week 2 of Bikini Series

It’s never a good feeling when you resolve to do something and you find yourself stuck in one of those weeks where you just can’t really seem to give it your all. That’s how I felt during week 2. The week started off weak and just never got much better. I didn’t follow along to the meal plan in the slightest, partly because almost none of the meals particularly inspired me and also because Cinco De Mayo fell on this week and I was just not passing up tacos and margs. No way. So no least/most favorite recipes this round. Just a strong resolution to do better in week 3! Mama said there’d be days like this. 

On a positive note, my workouts this week weren’t too shabby. I went to one Pure Barre class, one class at Sandbox Fitness, and ran 3 times during the week. I skipped my Saturday workout and was super bummed about it, but I did manage to get my first “Sunday Run-day” in! I ran 4 miles without stopping in under an hour, something I’ve actually never been able to do! Next week I’m making it 5, and slowly I’m going to work up to my goal of 9-10 mile runs!

  1. Woohoo, 4 miles!! A good tip I read is that you should never increase your weekly mileage by more than 10%, to avoid injury. (That’s how I did the marathon training without getting hurt!)
